LIQUEUR CHARNELLE Eau de Parfum
Liqueur Charnelle explores the scent of cognac beyond its alcoholic bite. Fruit, spice, flowers and wood can all be suggested by the bouquet of the drink; Pierre Guillaume draws on that richness to create an enveloping fragrance with tobacco and powdery softness.
A cognac accord is joined by blond tobacco and powdery woods. Pink pepper, black pepper and elemi bring liveliness, while tonka bean and raspberry add a smoother, sweeter dimension. Tobacco remains important, but it accompanies the liquor-like character rather than replacing it with smoke.
The result is full-bodied and sensual, with a gourmand character built around the richness of a drink rather than a familiar dessert. Pepper gives definition to the softer fruit and powder. Liqueur Charnelle feels warm and generous, but its interest comes from this combination of vibrancy and smoothness: the aromatic complexity of cognac translated into a fragrance, not simply the smell of a poured spirit.
