Safety Razor Slant 37C
The 37C is a compact slant safety razor designed for coarse, dense beard growth. Its distinctive head slightly twists the double-edge blade, creating an angled cutting action as the razor moves in straight strokes. The short brass handle has diamond-pattern knurling for a secure grip, while the generous blade gap allows lather and cut hair to rinse away easily.
Known among wet-shaving enthusiasts as the Sledgehammer, the 37C combines a compact format with a slant-head construction designed for demanding beard growth.
Choose this if: you already have experience with a double-edge safety razor, have coarse or dense beard growth and want a slant-head razor with a short, secure handle.
Not suitable if: you are looking for your first double-edge safety razor or prefer a longer handle.
How to use
Soften the beard with warm water and apply lather made from shaving cream or soap. Hold the razor so the blade meets the skin at approximately 30°. Shave with short, straight strokes without pressing the razor into the skin. Start by shaving with the direction of hair growth. Do not move the razor sideways — the slant head already creates the angled cutting action. Rinse the head regularly and apply fresh lather before shaving the same area again.
When replacing the blade, hold it only by its short, unsharpened ends.
